Water-based Coated Paper for Paper Cup/Bowl/Box/Bag

Although plastic has been one of the most suitable materials for food packaging, the recyclability of plastic-based packaging is a challenge, and it often accumulates in landfills. Paper has gained popularity since it can be recyclable and is environmentally friendly, renewable, and biodegradable. But plastic film—like polyester, polypropylene, polyethylene, or others—when laminated to paper, raise many recycling and biodegrading concerns. So we use water-dispersed emulsion polymer coatings as barrier/functional coatings on paper to replace plastic film and give paper specific functionality, such as grease resistance, water repellency and heat sealing.
